Sulphur World Symposium 2010 explores industry challenges-experts define areas in use expansion coupled with scenario for additional production. TSI welcomed a record 220 delegates from 34 countries to its global industry event in Doha, Qatar. His Excellency Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, deputy premier and minister of energy and industry for the State of Qatar inaugurated the event. Respected industry analyst presented scenario for sulphur production and consumption through 2019.

TSI held its 50th Annual General Meeting in Doha, Qatar. Value to its members was the feature. Transport and handling of over 70 million tons of production annually, efficiently and in an environmentally-sound manner, remain industry's goal. Hermann Wittje, The Mosaic Company, and Mark Whittemore, ICEC, were elected chair and vice chair.
