Venue
New York City is the most populous city in the United States and the hub of one of the world’s largest metropolitan areas. The Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, Broadway, Times Square, over 8 million people, and now Sulphur World Symposium 2011 call the island city home. Though the spring season is unpredictable, April tends to be a warm month with pleasant weather making Sulphur World Symposium 2011 an excellent opportunity to network while taking in the sights, sounds and tastes of a tourist friendly city.
English is spoken by most New Yorkers, but the city boasts speakers in almost 800 languages. New York is a shining example of the United States’ vast cultural diversity; it is a city with something for everyone. A ferry ride around the city’s harbor, a brisk walk through Central Park, world class museums and theaters, and a bustling nightlife are all waiting for you in New York City.

Three airports are located in close proximity to New York. The city is also serviced by rail through Amtrak. New York's famed subway system provides access to most of the city with over 13,000 cabs providing service above ground.
New York is one of the most influential cities in the world and has been the cornerstone of the United States’ economic and cultural development. The city has served as the seat of the country’s government, directed its arts and architecture, propelled its scientific advances, and welcomed millions of immigrants. It is in this great city, where people from around the world come to meet, live, do business and explore, that The Sulphur Institute will proudly host the Sulphur World Symposium 2011.

Hotel
TSI has negotiated a remarkable reservation rate at the luxurious Waldorf-Astoria hotel. All delegates are highly encouraged to take advantage of this offer. Hotel accommodations are not included in the symposium registration fees and should be arranged through the Reservations Department of the hotel to receive TSI’s preferred rate.
Located on Park Avenue in Manhattan, the Waldorf-Astoria is the most well-known hotel in New York City. Spacious rooms and a close proximity to some of the most popular tourist sites in the city make the Waldorf-Astoria the perfect location for Sulphur World Symposium 2011. The preferred airport for the Waldorf-Astoria is LaGuardia Airport (LGA).
