Golf Tournament: 06:45 – 16:00/Optional
New York City may be famous for its steel skyscrapers, but there are lush, bucolic championship golf courses throughout the metropolitan area. This year's golf tournament will take place on Sunday afternoon at the Crystal Springs Resort's Ballyowen Golf Club in nearby Hamburg, New Jersey. Transportation to and from the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, along with a box lunch, will be provided. This event is sponsored by TSI member company, ICEC.

Sulphur Education Seminar: 13:00 – 17:00/Optional
A special educational seminar has been added, once again, to the symposium’s traditional program. Both newcomers to the sulphur industry, as well as those with significant experience in the industry, will benefit. Initially, the goal of this session was to provide a basic overview of the sulphur industry to people who are new to the industry and/or operations personnel who would benefit from practical, useful knowledge of the industry. In addition, numerous participants with extensive experience in the sulphur industry also attended—and found the seminar updated their knowledge about new developments and refreshed sulphur basics. US$ 150 per person for non-TSI member participants.

Backstage at the Lincoln Center Tour: 13:00 – 17:00/Optional
Explore the labyrinth backstage areas and the workings of one of the world’s largest cultural hubs, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Instead of watching a performance from the audience, you’ll gain a new perspective on what it takes to coordinate large productions known for their artistic complexity, diversity and demanding requirements. Located on 16.3 acres (6.6 hectares) in New York City, the Lincoln Center complex is comprised of 12 resident organizations, ranging from the Metropolitan Opera to the Julliard School of Music. Over 5,000 performances and concerts are held annually. Several of the center’s buildings will be toured in-depth and its world-renowned major art pieces will be viewed. Led by a Lincoln Center docent. (Minimum number of participants required.) US$ 60 per person.

Brookhaven National Laboratory Tour: 12:45 – 18:00 (Limited participation)
A unique opportunity…exclusive for symposium delegates. Brookhaven National Laboratory is a world’s foremost scientific research facilities. Located approximately 60 miles (100 kilometers) east of Manhattan, it is one of ten national laboratories overseen and primarily funded by the Office of Science of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Brookhaven National Laboratory conducts research in the physical, biomedical, and environmental sciences, as well as in energy technologies and national security. Brookhaven Lab also builds and operates major scientific facilities available to university, industry and government researchers. Transportation to and from the Waldorf will be provided along with a box lunch. Brookhaven does not often allow group tours; participation is limited.

Metropolitan Museum of Art Tour: 13:00 – 17:00/Optional
One of New York City’s most famous icons, The Metropolitan Museum of Art collections include more than two million works of art spanning five thousand years of world culture, from prehistory to the present and from every part of the globe: 130,000 paintings, sculpture, and other artifacts form the Met’s permanent collection. Well-known for its world-class Egyptian, Ancient Near Eastern, Greek and Roman art galleries and European painting collection, the tour, led by a museum docent, will include overview tour and specialized gallery tour. Tour includes admission ticket. US$ 65 per person. (Minimum number of participants required.)

Walking Tour of Ground Zero and Wall Street: 13:30 – 17:30/Optional
Tour will start at Ground Zero to view the new construction and learn about future plans. It then continues up Wall Street to better understand the history of the stock exchange and events that greatly influenced the stock market. Also covered will be the area’s historic architecture and early development. Stops will include Ground Zero, New York Stock Exchange, grave of Alexander Hamilton, Wall Street Bull and other important locales in Lower Manhattan. Tour will be led by Annaline Dinkelmann, a former Wall Street insider and Morgan Stanley employee, who is a well-known expert in the neighborhood’s culture and history. US$ 60 per person.
